Are you keeping your income options open? The Wall Street Journal says that 57% of American workers do not feel secure in their current job. Does this include you?

Plan B Money

According to the Wall Street Journal 57% of working Americans do not feel secure in their current job. Loss of their job and loss of income top the fears in today’s economy.

The problem according to the Wall Street Journal is the economic downturn has dimmed hopes of opportunity, growth, expansion, and higher incomes among workers and entrepreneurs opening a small business. In 2010 the outlook continues to be bleak.

It’s time to face facts. In today’s economy your job and income are not safe! Even if you are the best at what you do, you are not protected. Have you looked at your paycheck and just briefly thought "I need another job!" Or "I need to make more money." Or "How do I make more money working here?"

You should be looking for a Plan "B" to protect your income. That means an alternative, additional income. I don’t advocate that you quit your job. But you should keep your income options open. Keep an open mind about ways to increase income. Not investments but real tangible income!

Do you have a plan to increase your income, give you more freedom to spend time with your family or travel?

Do you want to be your own boss and really work at your own pace?

You have many things to protect you against life’s surprises. Life insurance, car insurance, fire insurance, homeowners insurance, all these different things for accidents and unexpected problems.

Do you have income insurance? Something that brings in money if your job suddenly disappears?

Do you have a wife that has to work to help out but would rather be at home with the kids?

Would an additional $500 per month or more, make any difference in your life?

Is there some reason that you think you don't deserve more than you have now?

Some people think that they will never be more than what they are now. Believe me there are people making more money than they ever thought they would working from home or online. Some have quit their jobs and are enjoying a life they never expected to have.

Do not sell yourself short.

If you got a call from a competitor asking you to consider coming to work for them, would you?

Would you meet with them to see what your options might be?

It costs nothing to look into what might be a good plan for you & your family. I'm not saying you should quit your job...just consider having a plan "B" for your financial future! Give yourself options! I call it having a Plan "B" for income.
